Washington Pam Pack's Daniels, Jones make college choices

Washington Pam Pack football players Travis Daniels and Jamont Jones made it official today -- both are signing to play college football.

Daniels, the Washington Daily News' All-Area Offensive Player of the Year and the Coastal Conference Player of the Year, is signing with UNC-Pembroke, who went 4-7 in its inaugural season last year.
Daniels ran for 2,290 yards and 22 touchdowns his senior year.
The 5-10, 175-pound senior ran for 5,168 yards and 57 touchdowns in his career.
He is also a solid player at defensive back.

Jones, a versatile player who was a Washington Daily News' All-Area First Team selection at wide receiver, is signing with Lenoir-Rhyne. The Bears went 2-9 overall and 0-6 in South Atlantic Conference action last season.
The 5-9, 170-pound Jones caught 40 passes for 622 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also had 303 yards rushing and two scores, while also returning one kickoff for a score.
At defensive back, Jones had seven interceptions, which led the Pam Pack.
