Four area teams are still alive in the North Carolina High School Athletic Association state football playoffs.

Washington, Williamston, Plymouth and Creswell will be playing in second-round games Friday night.

3A Playoffs
The No. 7 seed Washington Pam Pack (8-4) plays at No. 2 seed West Craven (12-0). The winner faces the survivor between No. 3 seed Kinston (10-2) and No. 6 seed SouthWest Edgecombe (9-2) in the third round.

1A Playoffs
The No. 3 seed Williamston Tigers (7-5) play host to No. 6 seed Northampton-West (6-6). The No. 2 seed Creswell Tigers (9-1) face the No. 10 seed Perquimans Pirates (7-5). The winner of those two games square off in the third round.
